We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at St. Luke's Health System in Ontario, Oregon.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical laboratory environment, performing routine tests and analyzing specimens to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex analytical tests on blood and other bodily fluids to detect and diagnose diseases.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results, following strict quality control and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in medical laboratory science, applying this knowledge to improve testing protocols and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field, such as biology, chemistry, or microbiology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably with specialized certifications (e.g., ASCP_Blood Banking, ASCP_Chemistry, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
