Lead Day Habilitation Specialist

At ACLD, we are committed to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Lead Day Habilitation Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our program participants. As a Lead Day Habilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to our team members, while also ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality services
  • Assist program participants in achieving their personal goals and exceeding their expectations
  • Provide structure and emotional support to program participants
  • Assist in resolving behavioral issues and promoting positive behaviors
  • Help program participants with personal hygiene and daily living skills
  • Complete accurate and detailed documentation
  • Transport program participants to and from volunteer and pre-vocational activities using Agency vehicles
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required
  • One year of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred
  • Clean and valid NYS Driver's License required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be willing to complete trainings in SCIP, CPR, and AMAP
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Salary Range

Competitive hourly rate with potential for differential in some programs/locations
