About the Role

Gilbane Federal is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Director to join our team. As a key member of our Federal Division, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects by providing strategic guidance and oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project schedules, risk analyses, and contingency plans to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Establish and maintain project programs to identify and quantify labor hour forecasts, and prepare schedule analysis narratives to inform business unit management and project teams.
  • Provide project consistency between scheduling, cost control, and earned value control, and supervise the development, approval, and issuance of client and internal status reports.
  • Apply practical field experience and planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans, and advise project management on cost and cumulative impact of proposed design or construction changes.
  • Maintain and trend historical cost data from actual hours, costs, and pricing, and apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates.
Requirements
  • BS or AA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 17+ years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls fundamentals, procedures, and guidelines, and ability to develop, implement, and train on standard and project-specific cost control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to tutor and guide project controls staff and deploy and modify project control systems as appropriate to support project-specific execution requirements.
