Job Title: Senior Project Controls Professional

Gilbane is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Controls Professional to join our team in Concord, CA. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cost control systems, providing timely feedback to project and business unit management, and supervising the development of client and internal status reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor cost control systems to accurately measure progress, performance, and forecast expenditures.
  • Provide timely feedback to project and business unit management on cost control issues.
  • Supervise the development, approval, and issuance of client and internal status reports that effectively communicate schedule status and identify critical path.
  • Apply practical field experience with planning/scheduling knowledge to identify challenges to the project schedule and suggest mitigation plans.
  • Be familiar with the development and application of Gilbane indirect and overhead rates to cost.
  • Provide consistency between the project estimate, work breakdown structure, and project schedule.
  • Estimate cost and cumulative impact of proposed design or construction changes.
  • Support procurement by contributing to cost analysis for subcontractor pricing to determine whether pricing is fair and reasonable.
  • Understand the risk register and analyze risk to evaluate and forecast contingency requirements for management estimate reviews.
  • Maintain and trend historical cost data from actual hours, costs, and pricing.
  • Apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of estimate at completes and schedules when minimal information is available.
  • Mentor more junior level staff on proper change control and time impact analysis procedures.
Qualifications:
  • BS or AA in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
