Job Title: Child Welfare Consultant

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing full wrap-around case management services to our clients and families, while establishing a relationship with them and living our agency's core values.

About the Role:

The Child Welfare Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Providing case management services to LSF clients and families, including developing and implementing case plans, conducting home visits, and coordinating with community resources.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure effective case management and support.
  • Collaborating with other LSF staff, including program directors, case managers, and placement staff, to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
  • Ensuring compliance with Florida Statutes, Administrative Code, and written policies and orders of the Dependency Court.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive public image.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field, with a degree in Social Work preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in child welfare or a related field, with certification or the ability to become certified within one year.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to drive locally and throughout the state, with a valid Florida Driver's License and insurance.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and be flexible to work on-call 24/7 as needed.
