Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze construction documents, including specifications and drawings.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings to gain a thorough understanding of project scope.
  • Utilize estimating software for take-off quantities.
  • Research and evaluate cost-effective construction methods.
  • Gather pricing information for materials.
  • Prepare competitive bids by coordinating with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct cost analysis by detailing material, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
  • Make estimates and qualifications when standards are not available.
  • Manage awarded contracts, including change orders and additional work items.
  • Notify supervisors of any discrepancies in bid documents.
  • Maintain comprehensive resource information on products and subcontractors.
  • Communicate significant changes in project scope to relevant parties.
  • Conduct post-project debriefings with estimating and production teams.
  • Keep organized backup files and documentation for all estimates.
  • Attend departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid software.
  • Experience with P6 scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with AGTEK software.
  • Knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
  • Demolition experience is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent collaboration abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
