Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Diversified Insurance. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounting processes and procedures, as well as an understanding of GAAP regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process vendor payments to ensure timely payment and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile payments to brokers and other partner companies, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Complete bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Notify Account Managers of underpayments and owed premiums from clients.
  • Draw all disbursements for vendors, customers, companies, and other entities.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and assist in the month-end close process.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable and post daily deposits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledgeable about accounting procedures and GAAP regulations.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
