Astronics AES is seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to join our team of professionals in Redmond, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the development and launch of new products in our Cabin Electronics / Cabin Power Products Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with department heads, and ensuring the smooth transition of new products into production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Resolve technical problems with analytical expertise, coordinate hardware/software design verification testing, and lead the Boeing & Airbus offer ability process.
  • Customer Management: Participate in negotiations, communicate with customer buyers, and lead problem resolution.
  • New Business: Lead proposal efforts on small, non-complex proposals and support new product or existing product upgrade proposal activities.
  • Contract Management: Complete compliance matrices for contracts and ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Cost/Budget Controls: Create budgets for research projects or development programs and maintain IRAD files.
  • Schedule Control: Create program schedules, identify program risks and opportunities, and maintain budgets.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes and coordinate the incorporation of lessons learned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required.
  • Five (5) or more years of direct experience in Program Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise with engineering tools: MS Project, MS Office, Requirements Management, and Configuration Management.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace or Medical Devices.
  • Experience in bringing newly developed products through the new product introduction process.
