USA Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Care Access Associate to join our team in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology. As a key member of our clinic staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and supporting the needs of our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and families, demonstrating a high level of service excellence and professionalism.
  • Perform a variety of functions to support day-to-day clinic workflow, including registration, scheduling, and coordination of appointments.
  • Provide initial patient-facing triage, verify and update registration information, and collect time-of-service payments.
  • Employ excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families.
  • Review clinic schedules daily, follow proper check-in and discharge protocols, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collect co-payments, prior balances, and other payments as necessary, and run end-of-batch reports.
  • Support other Care Access responsibilities, including working EligibilityPlus work lists, televox reports, and cancellation/wait list call backs.
  • Communicate information on USA Health programs to patients, referral agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in orienting and training new staff members, and maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing physical environment.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of clerical experience in an access center, customer service, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred.
  • Completion of higher education as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama will substitute for the required experience.
