Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Forefront Dermatology. This full-time position will work 32 hours a week and is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Responsibilities
  • Perform opening and closing clinic duties, including preparing for next day appointments and maintaining a tidy waiting area.
  • Greets patients, checks them in for appointments, and verifies insurance information.
  • Scans documents into the electronic health record and maintains accurate patient records.
  • Checks schedules for added, canceled, and no-show appointments throughout the day and schedules follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record and orders clinic office supplies.
  • Sells and tracks cosmetic products, distributes mail, and prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer functions and able to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
  • Must possess attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor at all times.
