The ideal candidate will undertake engineering responsibilities within the transportation and structural engineering sectors, applying relevant design standards, criteria, and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a design lead and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Oversee assigned tasks and/or projects.
  • Support the acquisition of new projects.
  • Generate technical documentation as required.
  • Prepare project cost estimates.
  • Develop project outputs, including design calculations, contract documents, specifications, and cost assessments.
  • Occasionally visit project or client locations for task completion or meetings.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Master's degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of relevant design experience in structural engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (additional licenses in MA, CT, NH are advantageous).
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, MassDOT, NHDOT, and/or CTDOT standards.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of transportation structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and signage structures.
  • Proficiency in general-purpose structural analysis software (3D finite element analysis experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (MicroStation experience is a plus).
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, project managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Valid driver's license with a record of safe driving practices.
