Job Title: Receiving Department Manager

At Restaurant Depot, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receiving Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the receiving and inventory management processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of merchandise, including verification of item descriptions and counts.
  • Manage the inventory control process, including the maintenance of accurate records and the implementation of inventory management systems.
  • Supervise and train receiving staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of departmental tasks.
  • Collaborate with logistics and purchasing teams to ensure seamless integration of receiving and inventory processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a receiving or inventory management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and supervise staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift/carry abilities: 50 lbs.
  • Physical aptitudes: agility, dynamic balance, finger dexterity, manual dexterity.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor work environment, with frequent exposure to industrial vehicles and equipment.
  • Pace is job-set, with varying levels of activity throughout the day.
