Space Vehicle Systems Engineer

Blue Origin is seeking a talented Fuel Cell Test Engineer to contribute to the development of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. This role will have a significant impact on the history of space exploration.
About the Role:
We are looking for an expert in fuel cell technologies and their applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software and/or hardware development, integration, systems engineering, testing experience, and a strong understanding of fluid and instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fuel cell fluid system verification tests.
- Create test requirements, plans, and procedures to ensure acceptable fuel cell fluid system performance.
- Conduct thorough level leak check verification tests using advanced detection methods.
- Evaluate hardware and system performance data from qualification and acceptance testing.
- Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work, and coordinate with internal customers.
- Travel to remote test sites to prepare and execute tests.
- Participate in design for test/manufacture/cost (DFx) reviews and root-cause analysis of test discrepancies.
- Communicate development status, risks, and challenges to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field.
- Exposure to manufacturing and testing of fuel cell stacks.
- Detailed understanding of fuel cell technologies and their applications.
- Hands-on experience in software and/or hardware development, integration, systems engineering, testing experience.
- Familiarity with principles, concepts, and methods of systems engineering.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
What We Offer:
