Space Operations Engineer

About the Role
This role is part of our New Shepard program, a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line. Through operational reusability, we support our mission of lowering the cost of access to space.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement design changes for the fielded flight vehicles
- Identify and disposition non-conformances
- Support preflight integrated vehicle testing
- Lead preventative vehicle maintenance in the Escape/Separation subsystems lifecycle
- Perform risk assessments before rollout of the vehicles for launch
- Support flight operations through ops product development and Engineering Back Room support in mission control
Your Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of vehicle systems and requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate across team interfaces
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and resource challenges
- Experience with writing safe and executable work instructions
Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary of $140,000 per year, as well as additional financial incentives including a living allowance and relocation assistance. Location
This role is located in Van Horn, TX or Kent, WA, and may require a rotational schedule (16 day-on and 12 day-off rotation) or regular M-F working hours.
