M.S. Walker is excited to announce an opening for the role of Virtual Wine Sales Consultant. This position, reporting to the Sales Administration Manager, is responsible for managing and providing exceptional sales and customer support to a diverse range of accounts.
This role is ideal for individuals eager to forge new connections and enhance their career in wine and spirits sales. The primary objective is to increase distribution and revenue within our concierge account base.
We have recently established a dedicated team that manages a subset of accounts through digital outreach as the primary communication method. The Virtual Wine Sales Consultant will play a crucial role in shaping this position and developing best practices for engaging with these accounts.
While this role encompasses many traditional sales responsibilities, such as account management and reorders, it will predominantly rely on digital communication tools (e.g., text orders, email, social media) to effectively serve our clients.
The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and capable of identifying and prioritizing key opportunities for success through data analysis.
Successful candidates will be comfortable leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, utilizing tools such as Constant Contact.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-person attendance at our office for training, collaboration, and meetings twice a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management:
Collaborate with management and the team to develop and implement a digital strategy for efficiently managing accounts in the metro NY area. Execute and oversee campaigns, utilizing reporting and analysis tools. Manage the existing account base to further develop business with M.S. Walker's wine and spirits portfolio. Research and identify new prospects through various methods, including new license applications and press releases. Assemble logical target lists from multiple data sources. Work with sales management to drive account activation. Establish best practices for customer outreach and maintain an updated contact database.
Content Development:
Develop and create online content, including emails, newsletters, and web promotions for product offerings and weekly deals based on M.S. Walker's digital sales strategy. Identify target audiences based on data to find the most relevant customers. Collaborate with Marketing & Brand Managers to create and develop digital content for internal and external use to drive business.
Qualifications:
- Strong product knowledge of wine and spirits
- Formal training in wine and spirits preferred (WSET, Wine Enthusiast, or similar)
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Sales-oriented and self-motivated
- Exceptional communication skills, both digitally and in person
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in digital marketing is a plus
Compensation:
The compensation structure includes a combination of salary and commission, with an earnings range of $50k-$65K. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
