Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide essential support at our Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC). This role involves direct collaboration with clients at a designated site, focusing on the configuration, upkeep, and troubleshooting of various operating systems including Microsoft and Linux variants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve software and system-related issues.
  • Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest software and security patches.
  • Assist in system upgrades and installations.
  • Support the cyber security accreditation processes for TMPC.
  • Investigate software discrepancies and provide detailed reports.
  • Facilitate test events and fulfill other client-related requirements.
Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s degree. Alternatively, 9 years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Essential Skills
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
  • Must obtain DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance compliance (Security+ certification) within 3 months and Computing Environment compliance within 6 months.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including Operating Systems, SQL, PowerShell, and Office applications.
  • Strong background in Windows and RedHat operating systems.
  • General understanding of networking principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with the US Navy and familiarity with Tomahawk systems.
  • Operational knowledge of Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC).
  • Software and/or systems engineering expertise.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is typically between $86,000 and $138,000, depending on experience and other relevant factors.
