Position Overview
This role involves addressing technical challenges within the Life Cycle Support (LCS) framework, serving as a liaison with ship design authorities and technical experts, while acting as the Program's technical lead in collaboration with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with technical contractual obligations and establish program priorities for funding and managing engineering initiatives conducted by Naval Surface Warfare Centers.
- Act as the primary technical representative for the Program, facilitating communication with Fleet entities.
- Develop, assess, and promote innovative concepts, methodologies, and practices in engineering.

Management Duties
- Oversee technical and administrative staff operations, setting priorities and preparing work schedules to guarantee timely and effective project execution.
- Provide expert technical guidance to senior personnel on complex issues impacting engineering teams and associated contractors.

Evaluation and Investigation
- Lead teams in the assessment and resolution of design and engineering challenges encountered during the design and construction phases.
- Recommend design modifications and coordinate technical interfaces to ensure progress is monitored and expedited.

Communication
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels both internally and externally, engaging with government and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and suitable for federal employment.
- Successful completion of a professional engineering degree from an accredited institution is required.
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to managing ship design projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and standards.

Additional Information
- This position may require travel to various locations, including remote sites.
- Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
