Associate Professor of Racial/Ethnic Health Disparities

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate or Full Professor to join our Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia. The successful candidate will have a strong research program in the area of racial/ethnic health disparities, with a focus on topics such as the impact of psychosocial context, life course effects of chronic race-related stressors on mental and physical health, and/or culturally-informed prevention research for marginalized populations experiencing racism and elevated levels of race-related trauma.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the teaching needs of the Psychology Department at the graduate and undergraduate level.
- Collaborate with faculty members in the Department of Psychology and across the University to advance research and academic innovation.
- Develop and maintain a research program with national prominence and influence, including the ability to conduct and lead large-scale research efforts.
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.
- Eligibility for initial appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level, with tenure.
- A strong research program in the area of racial/ethnic health disparities.
- A research program with national prominence and influence.
- A high level of sustained research productivity.
- An established and current record of extramural funding.
