Operations Manager Job Description

At Thrive Now HR, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our high-performing team and drive business success. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of office operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks, and creating exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion and model our company's mission, vision, and values.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through email, social media, text, and phone.
  • Establish strong vendor partnerships to deliver shipment and planogram expectations.
  • Resolve issues to avoid escalations and fulfill orders, exchanges, and returns.
  • Develop sales opportunities based on products, inventory volume, ROI, and selling power.
  • Identify underperforming metrics and generate strategic solutions.
  • Study the market to stay ahead of industry trends and competition.
  • Manage the Customer Service team and ensure all policies are met.
  • Assure weekly sales and growth goals are met.
  • Conduct weekly reporting meetings with the CEO and serve as the point of contact.
  • Manage all fraud and missing package claims and avoid refunds through effective customer service.
  • Maintain all sales orders, exchange requests, and product information through Shopify.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Willing and able to work all shifts and some overtime as needed.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.
  • At least 2 years of retail experience.
  • At least 1 year of Shopify experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent listening skills, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • A high comfort level in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Physical Factors:

  • Primarily standing with bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Picking, pulling, and packing orders and counting inventory.
  • Typical working conditions will include inside work at the corporate office or onsite at the facility warehouse.

  • Copier/printer/office telephone.
  • Mail postage meter.
  • Cell phone (employee's personal cell).
