Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Wildlife Habitat Manager. This is a seasonal position that will involve working in a fast-paced environment to manage and maintain wetland habitats and control invasive species.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain wetlands for mosquitoes and invasive plants
  • Apply pesticides as needed to control mosquito populations
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles
  • Assist in replacing and maintaining culverts and water control structures
  • Conduct invasive plant control measures, including herbicide application and mowing
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to obtain a Connecticut Pesticide Junior Operator's license
  • Experience in conservation, environmental science, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
