Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our surgical procedures by providing exceptional patient care and support to our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including assembling and organizing case carts and providing necessary instrumentation and supplies.
  • Provide a sterile environment and assist the surgeon by passing instruments during procedures.
  • Count and verify sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Assist with the maintenance and care of specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
  • Support the turnover of rooms, including cleaning, restocking, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required.
  • Graduation from a formal, accredited surgical technologist program required.
  • Registered in the state of practice as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with a night shift schedule. The role requires regular attendance and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
