About the Role

  • Develop and Implement Attorney Development Programs">

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Attorney Development and Training to develop and implement comprehensive attorney development programs that meet the needs of our attorneys and align with the firm's strategic goals.

Lead Training and Development Initiatives">

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading training and development initiatives across the firm, including programs aimed at professional development, client service skills, and other essential legal skills and competencies.

Collaborate with Firm Leaders">

This role requires strong collaboration with firm leaders, practice group leaders, and attorneys to identify training needs and determine the best methods for delivering and assessing related programs.

Manage Budget and Resources">

The Head of Attorney Development and Training will also be responsible for managing the budget and resources allocated to these initiatives, ensuring effective use of firm resources to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience directly in a law firm environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree such as a JD, MBA, or other relevant qualifications is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience and knowledge in attorney professional development, including core competencies, adult learning principles, program design, and attorney career progression.
  • Strong passion for training and professional development, with a demonstrated track record in designing and implementing development programs.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a leader of a team.
  • Highly motivated, proactive self-starter who demonstrates ownership, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across various groups within the firm.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under strict deadlines.
  • Solid judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Capacity to handle change and adapt in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year
