Job Title: Vice President, Network Development and Training

At Jaguar Land Rover, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Network Development and Training to join our team. This is a key executive position that will play a critical role in shaping the future of our network development and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a market representation strategy to support future business plan aspirations.
  • Develop appropriate tools for determining retailer investment, size, capacity, staffing, and return on investment.
  • Identify and assess candidates for new markets through a robust process that establishes the right partners in the right locations.
  • Support the management of sales and service applications, appointments, terminations, and changes of ownership.
  • Provide standards, guidance, and support on retailer facility design and build in support of Global Corporate Identity program.
  • Manage approval process, tracking, measuring, and monitoring dealership builds to ensure on-time launches with required JLR Corporate Identity.
  • Improve the capability of the dealer network through the implementation of dealer standards and performance management of the network.
  • Drive business excellence in dealer processes both in Sales and Customer Service areas, including programs to track key performance metrics across all retailer business areas.
  • Manage the vehicle margin strategy/programs in support of corporate goals and retailer profitability.
  • Develop and implement activities to improve dealer profitability, including the management of credit risk evaluation structures.
  • Drive strategic long-term development of our retailers, supporting development solutions alongside the Director for Training.
  • Develop and manage a primary retailer ranking program based on a balanced retailer scorecard and resulting retailer recognition program identifying best performers nationally.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work with people at varying levels within the organization and network.
  • Experience in Automotive Franchise Management is required.
  • An understanding of drivers of retailer business and knowledge of retailer processes is essential.
  • Previous operational and/or field experience is required.
  • High skill level in financial modeling, as well as project management and coordination.
  • Previous experience with legal contracts/agreements, and a proven track record with supplier and vendor management.
  • Excellent judgment to resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively, as well as demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and verbal and writing skills.
  • Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of the organization.
