Individual compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including skills, experience, and business requirements. This position may also qualify for a discretionary incentive program, governed by specific rules.

Position Overview:
The role entails the secure operation of company vehicles and the prompt, courteous delivery of products to clients.

Position Duties May Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Safely and proficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Utilize Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and/or Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as electric pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Navigate vehicles and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstacles.
  • Unload and deliver products using various methods, including manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature settings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and store personnel.
  • Complete necessary delivery and pickup documentation.
  • Retrieve returned products as required.
  • Collect company assets, including payments and equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Participate in company training and certification programs as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors, dispatch, and coworkers.
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • At least one year of Class A commercial driving experience or equivalent military driving experience.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 25 lbs. and 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Successful completion of a post-offer background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Familiarity with handheld ordering devices and working in multi-temperature environments.
  • Experience in stocking, product handling, local delivery, or unloading.
  • Background in foodservice distribution, grocery, or beverage delivery.
