About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Visual Sound. As a key member of our technical operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our audio visual systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic audio/visual equipment to ensure minimum downtime and maximum performance.
  • Install and service AV systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate system performance to customers and internal teams.
  • Assist the Technical Operations team with installation and system commissioning work as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Field commissioning of AV systems and other engineering-related duties.
  • Finalize commissioning of audio-visual equipment, including audio DSPs, CODECs, switchers, control systems, VTC systems, and video processors.
  • Create user guides and train end-users on how to use their A/V control systems.
  • Refine current processes, develop a better workflow, and make recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Technical Operations team, Installation Manager, and Manager of AV Integration to ensure a professional and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of AV experience is preferred.
  • A four-year degree or military experience may be considered in place of job experience.
  • Experience with Enterprise VC solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Bluejeans, Cisco Telepresence, etc.) both hardware and software.
  • AVIXA General CTS (Certified Technical Specialist) is preferred.
