Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions for various assembly and transformation processes.
  • Investigate and validate innovative methods to enhance operational efficiency and flexibility.
  • Program and integrate assembly processes and machinery.
  • Create user-friendly interfaces for operators and incorporate them into our Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Develop engineered solutions to recurring equipment failures and maintenance challenges, focusing on reducing repair needs and preventing failures.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of predictive maintenance inspections and analyze equipment performance data.
  • Perform project-related tasks in accordance with established guidelines and company protocols.
  • Complete service requests and work orders as per system documentation.
  • Manage machine programming and integration of control logic and operator interfaces.
  • Collaborate with the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) team on outdated control systems as necessary.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and contribute to waste elimination efforts.
  • Support the organization's strategic goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to ensure the reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, and safety systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and their interactions within assembly operations.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt to new control technologies and software.
  • Strong ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Effective communication of technical information.
  • Knowledge of multi-axis servo and robotic systems.
  • Experience with industrial vision systems and sensors.
  • Basic understanding of networking and fieldbus technologies.
  • Proficient in software applications including AutoCAD and Rockwell Suite.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance standards.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associate's degree in Computer Science.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a two-year Technical Degree in Robotic Automation/Computer Sciences.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in plant maintenance with a strong focus on controls and related software.
