Automation Controls Specialist

Position Overview: The selected candidate will gain comprehensive knowledge of Lincoln Electric's product offerings and will be responsible for providing technical support and service at customer locations. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining various types of industrial automation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver field service and commissioning support for industrial machinery.
- Assist customers and local trades in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
- Conduct debugging and servicing of electrical components.
- Provide training to end users on equipment operation.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC-based systems.
- Program and troubleshoot HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems.
- Develop new PLC and HMI applications tailored to customer specifications.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering is required; degrees in Mechatronics will also be considered.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as VB, C / C++, or C# is preferred.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, schematic interpretation, design, and troubleshooting is essential.
- Mathematical proficiency in geometry and trigonometry is necessary.
- Strong mechanical aptitude is required.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows TM and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, is expected.
- Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time is required.
