Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is a vital member of our team, responsible for representing the face of our company to patients who come in for their health routine or life-defining health decisions. As a PSR I, you will draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the area supervisor, you will perform daily activities accurately and on time. You will maintain a safe and professional environment, and perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. You will also maintain required records and documentation, and demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to work independently with minimal on-site supervision, and have excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric. Additionally, you will need to be flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Education and Experience:

You will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification is also preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington). A minimum of 6 months experience is required, with one year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment is also preferred, as well as keyboard/data entry experience.
