Key Responsibilities:

The investigator will engage in comprehensive investigative tasks, adhering to operational protocols while evaluating gathered information, interviewing acquaintances, and collecting pertinent documents from law enforcement and credit agencies. A summary of findings will be presented to our federal government clients.

The Investigator's duties encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Executing background investigations to assess the employment eligibility of individuals requiring access to sensitive or classified U.S. Government information.
  • The majority of casework will support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), with assignments from other contracts based on performance and organizational needs.
  • Conducting in-person interviews with subjects, their neighbors, employers, friends, and family.
  • Performing record searches at police departments, courthouses, educational institutions, and medical/mental health facilities.
  • Documenting all acquired information in a clear and concise report using an authorized government computer system.
  • Other assigned responsibilities as needed.
  • Local and out-of-area travel is required, with local travel comprising approximately 15-20% of the work week.
  • Opportunities for Temporary Duty Assignments several times annually, lasting several days.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Recent field investigation experience conducting DCSA/NBIB background investigations within the last 18 months.
  • Candidates with four years of general work experience or a bachelor's degree may be considered.
  • Active favorable TS clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity.
  • Proven metrics in quality, timeliness, and productivity.
  • Intermediate typing skills (40+ WPM recommended) and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone, with strong transcription skills for words and numbers.
  • Capability to perform tasks that minimize errors and omissions, with visual acuity for close, distance, and peripheral vision.
  • Ability to write for extended periods, meet attendance and punctuality expectations, and pay attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential, with a requirement for sufficient motor vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
