Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to take on a senior role within our expanding organization. This pivotal position provides an exceptional chance to lead significant projects, manage risks effectively, and enhance your professional influence as our firm continues to evolve. You will be part of a dedicated team and work collaboratively with a larger network of professionals across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the geotechnical operations in Northern California, managing major project initiatives and implementing effective risk management protocols.
  • Work in conjunction with geology and geotechnical leads, as well as other technical teams throughout California, to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Foster business development through strategic client engagement and relationship management, particularly in the public sector.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule with limited travel, primarily within the state and occasionally beyond as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed Geotechnical Engineer in California (GE).
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with a strong history of leading complex projects and teams.
  • Expertise in seismic analysis, design, and retrofitting techniques.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a talent for inspiring and mentoring colleagues.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with government agency projects/contracts, including but not limited to water/wastewater, state and local agencies, educational institutions, energy/power, and transportation sectors, with a solid grasp of industry trends and client needs.
  • Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
  • Experience with levees and dams is advantageous.
