Radiation Therapist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Therapy team at Wilson Medical Center. As a key member of our oncology team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals undergoing radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and act as a patient/family advocate.
- Work collaboratively with other nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
- Perform various tasks, including reviewing patient charts, obtaining vital signs, and setting up equipment for examinations.
- Provide emotional support to patients undergoing specific procedures/examinations.
Requirements:
- Current/Active North Carolina RN license
- Additional certifications as required by the department
- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs
- Critical thinking and ability to work well under pressure
