We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our team at Wilson Medical Center. As a key member of our Oncology department, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals undergoing radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, including patient and family teaching, advocacy, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Review and prepare patient charts, obtain and monitor vital signs, and document findings
- Administer medications, perform sterile procedures, and set up equipment for examinations
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, and reinforce teaching provided by physicians
- Participate in departmental quality measures and other defined quality processes
- Current/Active North Carolina RN license
- Additional certifications as required by the department
- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs
- Critical thinking and ability to work well under pressure
