Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participate in patient and family teaching, and act as a patient/family advocate
- Work collaboratively with other nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform various tasks, including reviewing patient charts, obtaining vital signs, and administering medications
- Participate in departmental quality measures and other defined quality processes
Requirements:
- Current/Active North Carolina RN license
- Additional certifications as required by the department
- Ability to understand, communicate, and react effectively to patient and family needs
- Critical thinking and ability to work well under pressure
