Staff Accountant

About the Role
The Snooze Mothership is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in protecting and growing our amazing Snooze culture by assisting with cash reconciliation, accounts payable, and invoice entry and reconciliation. You will also be responsible for accruing sales & use tax, reviewing and preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, and maintaining great relationships with our vendors and restaurant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile several restaurant and corporate bank accounts
- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations including prepaids and AR/House Accounts
- Work closely with restaurant leadership to resolve daily sales entry or deposit issues
- Various Treasury functions including follow up for missed Loomis deposit pickups
- Ensure weekly sales and inventory reporting is complete for finance reporting
- Assist AP Lead with entering invoices, reviewing vendor statements, and payment processing backup
- Prepare schedules as needed for the annual audit
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet Snooze operations needs

Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree level education in Accounting or other related field
- 3-5 years of staff or managerial accounting experience or public accounting
- Relevant hospitality industry experience preferred
- R365 experience is a plus
Work Environment
- Must have the stamina to work 45 to 50 hours per week
- Minimal travel required
- Home base is in Denver, CO at the Snooze Mothership (Hybrid work schedule available)
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $60,000-80,000 per year. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
