Job Summary

SafePlace is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Domestic Violence High-Risk Team Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advocacy to high-lethality DV clients, conducting lethality assessments, and collaborating with community partners to ensure the safety and voice of survivors are at the table during meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advocacy to high-lethality DV clients, including accompaniment during legal proceedings, assisting with criminal hearings, and supporting at law enforcement interviews.
  • Conduct lethality assessments with SafePlace clients to determine their need for DVHRT enrollment.
  • Collaborate with community partners to assess community needs and develop policies and implementation of the Danger Assessment for Law Enforcement (DA-LE).
  • Participate in monthly Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) meetings and weekly DVHRT meetings with community members.
  • Organize, facilitate, and attend legal resource outreach and education to rural communities, legal service providers, and Thurston County courts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • One year's experience in crisis intervention and/or sexual and domestic violence survivor advocacy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and training in sexual and domestic violence issues.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual/bicultural in Spanish and English.
  • Completion of the initial SafePlace ACT.
