Job Summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Full-time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) to join our WIC department in Olympia, WA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing nutrition counseling, high-risk counseling, and assisting with the WIC certification process. This is a temporary position, and you will be required to travel to Sea Mar's WIC sites in the Thurston County region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date charts, documenting counseling sessions as specified by program guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with team members and other Sea Mar staff.
  • Provide medical, MSS, and patient nutritional assessment and nutrition counseling.
  • Facilitate appointment time through scheduling and following up on failed appointments according to protocol.
  • Compare information collected to program criteria to accurately determine WIC eligibility and nutrition risk factors.
Requirements
  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in nutrition from an accredited university.
  • Completed an accredited dietetic internship program or Coordinated Undergraduate Program in Dietetics.
  • 7 hours of HIV/AIDS course.
  • WA State Registration and Certification for Dietitian or RD/CD eligible with attainment of these credentials within time period stated in the Sea Mar Nutrition Program Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Medical Assistant-Registered Certification required for Hemoglobin testing for WIC RD.
