As a Security Operations Specialist, you will join a proficient security team that safeguards essential facilities and infrastructures, as well as public venues requiring enhanced security measures and personal protection services.

You will receive training from our experienced instructors in safe practices and operational protocols.

As a Security Operations Specialist, you play a crucial role in the diverse range of specialized security services that Inter-Con offers to its clients daily.

Security personnel are required to be certified and trained, with responsibilities that include a mix of standing, sitting, and walking posts.


Core Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the security personnel include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring access to City property and documenting relevant information on approved forms
  • Observing and reporting any unusual or suspicious activities
  • Managing the security booth to permit entry only for authorized vehicles
  • Responding to emergencies or disturbances occurring on the property.

Staffing Requirements:

1. Single officer per shift

2. Facility operates 24/7, year-round

3. There are multiple buildings on campus requiring regular patrols.

4. Officers will be expected to conduct patrol rounds and document patrols at designated points using electronic stations provided by the contractor.

Qualifications:

A valid guard card license as mandated by state or local regulations.

May be required to perform emergency duties necessitating physical exertion, including standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying objects up to 75 lbs., and running.


Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is highly desirable.

Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

All personnel should exhibit high integrity and possess exemplary security skills and judgment.

Assigned personnel should demonstrate above-average computer skills and hold all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications required by state and/or local laws to perform security duties.
