Job Title: QC Inspector I

Job Overview

The QC Inspector I plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of documentation through meticulous review processes. This position is also involved in the verification of sterilized products and the thorough examination of sterilization documentation. The QC Inspector I is tasked with overseeing Incoming Quality Control (IQC) to confirm that all received products comply with established inspection standards and are released accordingly. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in at least three areas and will be expected to expand their knowledge in additional domains. Flexibility to assist in various functions may be required under guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive document assessments.
  • Ensure all Device History Records (DHR) are accurate and complete.
  • Cross-verify detailed information within the DHR.
  • Initiate corrections for any discrepancies found in DHR records, including times, temperatures, and documentation errors.
  • Uphold excellent record-keeping practices.
  • Manage nonconforming products by placing them on hold within the system and physically.
  • Verify all necessary documentation (e.g., Purchase Orders, Certificates of Analysis, Material Safety Data Sheets) prior to inspection.
  • Complete all receiving documentation as per established procedures.
  • Utilize various measuring instruments to inspect materials, verify quantities, and refer to specification sheets and drawings.
  • Document all findings related to nonconforming materials.
  • Perform quality control tests on products and incoming raw materials.
  • Generate reports for any errors or nonconformances identified.
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets for analysis and trending.
  • Ensure accurate and organized maintenance of quality records.
  • Oversee the quarantine area in accordance with quality hold protocols.

Position Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire role.

Work Environment

The position is based in a modern, climate-controlled facility. Required attire includes closed-toed shoes and appropriate work attire. Standard working hours are from early morning to early afternoon, Monday through Friday.
