About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative II to join our team at Indiana University Health. As a key member of our laboratory services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, while ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our laboratory testing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient inquiries via telephone and email, providing timely and accurate information to meet patient needs and organizational guidelines.
  • Determine the best method for problem resolution, meeting patient needs and organizational guidelines.
  • Coordinate issue resolutions with other departments as necessary.
  • Gather patient personal and billing information for database entry and scheduling.
  • May perform laboratory duties to include database entry of specimens.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding required.
  • Ability to type 30+ words per minute.
  • Requires working knowledge of computers.
