Overview

Responsibilities

+ Oversee and manage established operational systems within the department, ensuring the needs of the staff are met while actively participating in the enhancement of these systems as part of the management team.

+ Supervise the storeroom staff and culinary team, ensuring that operational requirements are fulfilled. The supervisor will work closely with the team to implement and uphold infection control measures, maintaining a safe and organized storage environment.

+ Facilitate communication with patients, staff, and stakeholders regarding the services provided by the Nutrition Services team. Feedback will be communicated to the management team and/or staff as necessary.

+ Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet daily operational demands while maintaining cost efficiency. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and evaluating staff performance, as well as assigning tasks and managing workload in response to shifting priorities.

+ Collaborate in the development of menus for patient, cafeteria, and catering services, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection.

+ Lead collaboratively and mentor team members to achieve peak performance.

+ Delegate responsibilities effectively.

+ Recognize and reward contributions from team members.

+ Clearly define roles and responsibilities.

+ Set objectives and guide initiatives.

+ Adapt plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years in food service, with at least two (2) years in a hospital nutrition setting.

Education: Associate of Arts degree.

Licensure: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is required. If not currently certified, certification must be obtained within a specified timeframe. Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager and ServSafe Allergen certifications (within the past year) are also required.

Pay Range

$38.26/hour
