Job Summary

iCare Health Solutions Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Representative/Medical Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and other visitors arriving for appointments, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Check patients in, verifying demographics, insurances, and authorizations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responsible for the verification of medical insurance benefits, ensuring seamless communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Coordinate with patients regarding their insurance benefits and medical provider program, providing clear and concise information.
  • Collect all co-payments/balances upfront, maintaining a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Call PCPs to obtain referrals and/or authorizations if required by new insurance, demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
  • Obtain new providers information to add to NextGen, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Obtain, verify, and enter patient information into EMR, ensuring the accuracy of all entries.
  • Scan paperwork to EMR, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Complete end-of-day closing duties, ensuring a smooth transition to the next day.
  • Assist in cross-training new personnel on front desk duties, demonstrating a willingness to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously, handling requests and inquiries, or routing as appropriate.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Customer Service experience, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Ability to handle and diffuse patient complaints and disagreements, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and courtesy.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
  • Experience navigating Electronic Medical Records and Outlook, with a high level of proficiency.

Preferred Skills

  • English and Spanish bilingual, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.

Salary Description

$12.00 - $16.00
