Job Summary

This is a full-time non-exempt position supporting the Army National Guard Mission Command Training Support Program. The Simulation Technician provides technical support to the program and other training facilities as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the local expert for simulation systems, including FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, and WARSIM.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for system operation, configuration management, and software/hardware issues.
  • Develop and maintain setup, testing, and troubleshooting guides for simulation systems.
  • Deliver formal classroom instruction to operators prior to exercises.
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and networking configurations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools, and Mission Command Systems.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues.
  • Understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
  • Experience working in high-security environments and managing classified equipment.
  • Meet DOD M Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II.
  • Meet all Information Assurance (IA) training and reporting requirements.
  • Pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness course.
Education and Certifications
  • Minimum AA/AS degree in a relevant field (BA/BS preferred).
  • CompTIA Security + certification.
Additional Requirements
  • Obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
