Job Summary

This is a full-time non-exempt position supporting the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). The Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) Simulation Technician provides support to the MCT and other training facilities/deployed sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the local hardware, software, and functional expert for one of the following: FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, or WARSIM.
  • Answers questions concerning operation of the system, troubleshoots problems, and provides configuration management on software/hardware systems.
  • Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operators prior to constructive exercises.
  • Maintains setup, testing, and troubleshooting guides for SME system.
  • Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the LVC-G field with demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools, and Mission Command Systems (MCSs).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues, with military experience preferred and simulation experience preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
  • Experience working in a high-security environment and management of classified equipment, with an understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
  • Must meet DOD Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II and meet all IA training and reporting requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk-read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement.
  • Reports directly to the SST Lead.

Education Requirements

Minimum of AA/AS degree in a relevant field (BA/BS preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.
