Simulation Technician

Job Summary
This is a full-time non-exempt position supporting the Army National Guard Mission Command Training Support Program. The Simulation Technician provides technical support to the program and other training facilities as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as the local expert for simulation systems, including FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, and WARSIM.
- Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for system issues.
- Develops and maintains setup, testing, and troubleshooting guides for simulation systems.
- Provides formal classroom instruction to operators prior to exercises.
- Maintains a high level of technical expertise in simulation systems and related technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the LVC-G field, with demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools, and Mission Command Systems (MCSs).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues, with a preference for military and simulation experience.
- Must have a strong understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
- Experience working in a high-security environment and management of classified equipment, with an understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
- Must meet DOD Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II and meet all IA training and reporting requirements.
- Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk-read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement.
- Reports directly to the SST Lead.
Education Requirements
Minimum of AA/AS degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a BA/BS degree.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.
