Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Services Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for maintaining athletic and sports equipment for the football program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance of athletic and sports equipment for the football program
  • Provide support in ordering, distribution, collection, cleaning, repairing, and proper documentation of inventory for all play and practice equipment used by the Virginia Tech football team
  • Demonstrate knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations, Atlantic Coast Conference uniform regulations, and the Commonwealth of Virginia purchasing guidelines, relative to ordering and issuing equipment

Requirements

  • Experience working in a collegiate athletics equipment and laundry services center
  • Working knowledge of equipment room inventory systems
  • Experience using an internet-based purchasing software
  • Commitment to diversity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certified member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association
  • Budget management experience
  • Supervisory experience

Compensation

$13.33 per hour. Up to $20,000 per year.
