Job Summary

Fisk University seeks a highly qualified Academic Leader in Healthcare Administration to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration. This tenure-track position provides an excellent opportunity to establish a rigorous academic career based on curriculum innovation, scholarly work, and academic service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach graduate courses in Healthcare Administration, with a focus on curriculum innovation and excellence in teaching at the graduate level.
  • Develop and expand programs in Business (Healthcare) Administration, with a focus on interdisciplinary studies and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Establish a strong federally funded research program, with opportunities for collaboration with local high-tech industries.
  • Participate in the Faculty Assembly and contribute to the development of the University's Mission and Vision.
  • Engage in activities that generate professional development, leading to demonstrated achievement and other mandatory campus events.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Business, Economics, or Finance with cognate in Healthcare Administration.
  • Practical experience in the payor or provider space is highly desired.
  • Proven excellence in teaching at the college level, with a genuine interest in teaching and collegiate behavior with peers.
  • Ability to integrate theoretical concepts and empirical experience to educate team members and drive results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College teaching experience.
  • Proven track record and healthcare leadership in a public or private healthcare entity.
