Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Software Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our New Shepard program, you will design, build, and improve avionics software for the Propulsion Module, Crew Capsule, and Launch Operations systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, leadership skills, and a passion for safe human spaceflight. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to define schedules and budgets and mentor and train software engineers.

A minimum of 5+ years of software development experience and advanced software development skills in C/C++ & Python are required. Experience with real-time embedded software, computer networking systems, and protocols is also essential.

Bonus points if you have a Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field and expertise in Linux, Jenkins, and automation tools.

About the Role:

This role offers a competitive salary ($120,000 - $180,000 per year) and benefits package. You will be working on a project that will positively impact safe human spaceflight and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of reusable suborbital rockets.
