Position OverviewRole Summary

As a Senior Wireless Systems Firmware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and enhancement of embedded firmware for devices equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities. Your technical acumen will be pivotal in ensuring reliable connectivity and superior performance as you lead the advancement of innovative solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Firmware Engineering: Develop and refine embedded Wi-Fi firmware utilizing programming languages such as C and C++.
  • Wi-Fi Standards Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of Wi-Fi standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and security protocols.
  • Integration with Hardware: Collaborate effectively with hardware engineers to seamlessly integrate Wi-Fi modules into embedded systems.
  • Performance Tuning: Enhance Wi-Fi performance metrics, including signal quality, roaming efficiency, and energy consumption.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot Wi-Fi-related challenges in practical environments.
  • Security Measures: Implement secure communication protocols, encryption methods, and safeguard against potential vulnerabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in embedded software development with a focus on Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi chipsets, drivers, and associated protocols.
  • Experience with RF spectrum analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Understanding of FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex Wi-Fi issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and quality assurance personnel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the home automation sector and familiarity with the residential market.
