JOB TITLE: Wireless Communications Installation SpecialistDEPARTMENT: OperationsREPORTS TO: Project Foreman or Market ManagerSUMMARY: The Wireless Communications Installation Specialist is responsible for the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems under the guidance of the Project Foreman or Market Manager. This role involves conducting site assessments to identify optimal installation paths and evaluating site conditions; executing the installation and termination of cabling in accordance with provided construction plans; and completing necessary documentation and reports.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install antennas and mount electronic devices according to iBwave and/or construction specifications.
  • Operate hand tools, various lifts, and testing equipment safely and effectively for cable and equipment installation.
  • Deliver completed test results to verify proper installation by contractors.
  • Maintain clear and accurate communication with the market manager, supervisors, and team members.
  • Record work hours and activities using the project management cloud solution.
  • Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, adjustments, and repairs of equipment.
  • Provide updates to the Market Manager and/or Project Foreman, including reports on installation and testing.
  • Communicate project timelines and coordinate with contractors and clients.
  • Complete daily safety reviews.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and collaborate with the Regional Safety Representative on safety concerns.
  • Install and terminate various types of cables including coaxial, Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, ground, and low voltage power cables according to manufacturer standards.
  • Mount equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Set up racks and other mounting structures for equipment.
  • Utilize fiber optic and RF testing equipment to ensure correct installation.
  • Maintain labeling and documentation for all installed systems.
  • Accurately document work performed in the project management cloud solution.
  • Travel may be necessary during the standard workweek.
  • Weekend and evening work may be required to finalize project documentation or other related tasks.
  • Provide assistance to team members and staff as needed.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment safely, adhering to all local regulations.
  • Submit all expense receipts and records.
  • Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook.
  • Be cross-trained to support other departments and staff as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in alignment with organizational policies and applicable laws.
