RogueSearch is seeking a seasoned Land Acquisition Manager to lead our land acquisition efforts in Seminole and Volusia counties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the land acquisition department, identifying and qualifying potential land acquisitions, and negotiating deals with property owners, brokers, and land developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Land Acquisition Department: Plan, direct, and coordinate all land acquisition activities for assigned territory, including hiring and employee development.
  • Identify and Qualify Potential Land Acquisitions: Use market research tools and GIS mapping applications to identify potential land acquisitions that align with our division goals.
  • Negotiate Deals: Negotiate the acquisition of properties with landowners, attorneys, or brokers, and manage the due diligence process on land acquisition opportunities.
  • Manage Entitlements: Manage the entitlement process on land acquisition opportunities, including initial master planning work in close coordination with internal design and land development teams.
  • Develop Business Community Relationships: Develop business community relationships and scout other avenues for possible acquisitions.

Requirements:

  • 8+ Years of Experience: 8+ years of successful land acquisition experience in the homebuilding industry (or similar).
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in leading teams and directing numerous iterations of underwriting complicated development projects.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Florida zoning and land use practices, development standards, and utility solutions, as well as strong MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, etc).
